MIAMI FOOD BANK is a social non-profit organization driven to end hunger, while educating the community to use its food resources more effectively.
Our first initiative is to connect the big retailers’ food excesses with those NFP's (soup kitchens) that not only feed people in need, but also support them educationally as they re-enter society.
One of our mantras is that food is not merely given away: with our food resources we support NFP’s that provide strong educational programs in support of their goals.
Quality educational programs measured by the number of people able to leave the streets, integrate into society, obtain and hold gainful employment, and live their lives with dignity.
